She’ll be pretty as a picture in this darling ballerina shoe from Designer’s Touch. It’s made with supple leather from the inside out for superior flexibility and comfort where new little piggies need it most. The shiny ribbon slides through slotted tabs around the heel and ties in the front for an enchanting look that will keep all eyes on her.

I am buying a pair of soft ballet shoes. I am 23 and this will be my first pair. I normally take a Size 5 (UK) in my trainers so will I be the same size in the ballet shoes? Is there anything I need to take into account when ordering them online? Thankyou.

I have a semi-formal wedding and an elegant evenng out at the ballet coming up. For both, I have found really nice dresses that are short (knee length or just below). I want to wear strappy high-heeled sandals with both, and I feel uncomfortable going without stockings. Is it OK to wear nylons (not sure if I will wear pantyhose or stockings and a garter belt) with dressy heeled sandals like this? I really don’t want to wear closed-toe pumps either. Some of my friends say I shouldn’t wear nylons w/sandals, other say go for it. What do you think?

All brands make several different shapes and styles of pointe shoes, which are designed for different people and different uses. This is often very confusing for first time buyers, so if at all possible get your dance teacher, or an experienced dancer to go along to the fitting with you. The fitters in various stores can range from exceptional to very average, so it is a good idea to get a name of a good fitter on the recommendation of someone you trust.
While the person who fits your shoe should check all of the following things, it is good to know what to look for, and to feel, yourself. The fitter can look at how the shoe looks from the outside, but only you can feel what is going on inside.
