When You Wear High Heels, Are You Supposed To Step On The Ball Of Your Foot Then Your Heel, Or Heel First?

Sunday, August 2nd, 2009

I am wearing heels instead of sneakers for the first time in years. I’m trying to use good posture but my gait feels really off. I seem to be naturally stepping first on my heels, then moving my weight forward onto my toes, as if I’m still wearing sneakers. Do you naturally put your weight more towards the front of your feet instead of all over or your heels when you wear high heels? I love my shoes but don’t know how to walk in them!

I Need Shoes Advice (mens)?

Thursday, July 30th, 2009

Before you read on, please note that I AM A MAN, do not use womens views on this topic.
Formal Wear: I dont have any good ones right now. I have a pair of black ones, but they suck. First of all, i dont have much money so i need something now. If I were to have one pair of shoes to go with a black suit that can be worn dressy, what would your recommend? I was thinking black leather lace up? How about brown shoes? But I only have a black suit…
Casual Wear: I want to get a white/green pair of Lacoste Carnabys. And as for another pair, should I look into the john varvatos converse slipons? Or something else? Should I just stay away from sneakers, casually??? How about a pair of brown or black loafers? Moccasins? Something(s) that can go with jeans, and/or khakis?

What Type Of Footwear Would Be Best With White Water Rafting And Canyoning?

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

I have canyoning shoes, but my 2 friends don’t want to drop $100 on a pair of Keen or Tevas that they’ll probably never wear again. I was looking at reg sport sandals, but I’m concerned about the lack of toe protection. What about old sneakers that would dry out quickly? We’ll be repelling down waterfalls and we’ll get pretty wet with both activities. Does anyone have a suggestion / opinion on this matter?

Why Do Fewer And Fewer Women Wear High Heels On A Daily Basis?

Saturday, July 11th, 2009

I am tired of seeing flip-flops in grocery stores, sneakers at work, etc. Girls you dont see us guys wear wife-beaters everywhere even though they are most comfortable… Is it too much to ask to wear high heels more, at least those women who really need it to look good?

What Footwear Would You Keep In Your Car If You Might Have To Walk 5-25 Miles Through Woods In An Emergency?

Friday, July 10th, 2009

I’m a single mom with 2 teenagers (boy, girl). I want to keep some footwear in the car for summer and winter to guard against breakdowns when driving through the Adirondacks. My kids generally choose VERY inadequate footwear, summer and winter. I have some wilderness training, the kids have practically none, but are heathy and take direction well in emergencies.
Which would be better to keep in the car: sneakers or waterproof hiking-type boots? Keep in mind that these would be inexpensive, and wouldn’t be broken in (would include several pair of socks and many band aids etc per person). Initially I thought sneakers, but now I’m leaning toward inexpensive hiking style boots, which say they’re waterproof. I’ve seen some in Target for $18.
Keep in mind that I’d LIKE to afford “the best of everything,” but being wholly unable to afford that, would rather have SOMETHING other than the flip flips I know they’ll be wearing.
