Dress Up Games: are These for My Kid?

Thursday, November 19th, 2009

There is really no problem if one still believes baby dolls in homey dresses and head socks are hit items on a girl’s wish list. But like-minded people also owe to himself or herself knowing more about virtual dolls. How is that? Not all dolls nowadays are made of rubber, wearing cotton- or nylon-fabric doll outfits clad in plastic shoes. Nowadays, the most in demand dolls are half the time “virtual.” But virtual dolls won’t raise your eyebrows if you are already up to date about some popular dress-up games available on various websites. Now the skeptic in you might be wondering how these dolls are dressed. Well, just like the paper dolls of old, using clothes and accessories from hundreds of costume and clothing “libraries” this time. And believe it or not, choosing a doll and giving it costumes are games available for free. All that is practically need in order to access these games are a computer, a stable and fast link on the Internet, a few clicks and lots of creative and very patient imagination! Think about it: virtual clothes that stay beautiful without coming into contact with the washing machine, iron, or hanger. Its really a matter of click-selecting a dress and dropping it over the doll’s image. Are you a mom or a dad watching and observing your child playing and having a make-believe with these virtual dolls and dress-up games? If so, perhaps you have asked yourself countless times already: where are these games going to take my little one? Is there anything good from all this? But the answer is yes. Take Bratz dress up games, for example. For sure, we are far from mentioning basic Latin or history here, but kids and teens will actually be able to explore and observe their aesthetic sense and their artistic abilities – all that inter-mingling of forms, shades and designs together can be an engrossing hobby that can take hours (with your supervision of course). You might recall how such order of thinking is also applicable to other artistic tasks such as drawing or such as coloring. Naturally, brace yourself for the day when the little tot comes to you warbling about being a stylist or a fashion designer.Inevitably, dress-up games are sure to fire up any latent or dormant creativity, or even some artistic slant. That these games look superficial at first is an unsurprising observation, who would not say looking at all that glittering and sparkling clothes, high heeled boots, jeans, even wigs and heavy earrings. Not exactly your cup of tea, especially with what is going on in the show business headlines nowadays! But is not Bratz dress up games indeed happily miles away from those first person-shooter games? Monsters, guns and blood versus pretty clothes and trendy accessories – you decide with your supervision and watchful attention to them. While it is still a matter for debate as to how much intellectual growth these games can foster in your child, hey, they are however still a preferable and creative choice.

Do You Wear Your High Heels With: Hose, Socks, Nothing?

Saturday, October 24th, 2009

I am just starting to wear high heels and the protocol seems to be to wear them with nothing – just bare feet. Is this true? I like the look, but am woried that they will be uncomfortable or the shoe will break down faster. Also, in the Summertime, don’t your feet get sticky or sweaty? Should I use powder before putting my shoes on?

I always wear heels. When they are new, or if I don’t wear them often, they don’t smell. But the ones that I wear the most eventually get a bad odor. They are heels so I never wear socks, but my feet don’t smell! My shoes start smelling after heavy wear and then they end up making my feet smell if I wear them! How can I get rid of this bad odor?

I Just Got A Tattoo On My Right Foot On Friday (it’s Now Monday). Need To Get Some Aftercare/shoe Advice?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009

I am sore, scabby and red. It doesn’t really look infected, just sore. I am a nurse and have to wear socks and tennis shoes at work. I am concerned about the effect wearing this will have on my tattoo’s healing well. Should I bandage it? Leave it open? It’s very sore tonight because I had to wear shoes all day. Boy does that hurt!! Anyway, this tatto was painful and the healing has been painful too. Any advice on the shoe situation would be appreciated. Something I read said I should be barefoot for 3 months. Impossible!! Anyone who’s been in this same situation? Thanks
